I just updated by version of Safari on my Mac to 6.0. Fx eGrid will no longer log me in to PFC. Anyone else having that problem? Running OS 10.7.4. Thanks.

Try going to the Select a browser option and reselecting a browswer? Closing eGrid all the way down and then reopening?

Thanks for the suggestion...unfortunately, it didn't work. After I input the egrid info and select Safari, it still hangs at: "Please wait. Fx Egrid is Logging in to FedEx."
But on your suggestion of selecting a browser, I tried it again selecting eGrid as the browser and it logged right into PFC. That says to me that the interface between the Fx eGrid app and the new Safari 6.0 must be AFU. Maybe app Dude will be able to fix it.

Mark, my previous version of Safari was 5.1.7 and it also worked fine, just this morning. I'm afraid it's the new version 6 of Safari that has broken Fx eGrid.

I normally use Firefox, so I just swapped to Safari 6.0 and I get the same thing you get!

Don't worry.
Apple/Macs are so "intuitive" that the "fix" will just come to you momentarily - just give it a few more minutes

While appDude is nice enough to work on a Safari fix, let me apologize for hijacking this thread (I couldn't see starting a new one for this).
I'm reasonably certain that Capt. open should be available tonight at 1930CT. Here's my question ... when I checked open time about 4 hours ago I would guess that there were approximately 23 trips (almost exclusively 1-day, 6 credit hour trips). Now, approximately an hour prior to open time release there are only 10 trips. Assuming the missing trips have been picked up by someone, how is it possible to pick up trips prior to open time release??? Is there any way to legally do that? Enquiring minds want to know?
Thoughts?

Could have been built into custom lines for someone coming off IOE?

I love that a 58hr trip is now gone, nothing dropped into open time to replace it, and the guy is a calendar blocker.

You'll notice the question mark at the end of my post. Some of it may have been due to that. All of it, I doubt it. Could be they screwed up a few VTOs and had to add some to some of them. Just spit balling here.

At least some trips went to a custom line... there certainly could have been more than one such line. Others to training/IOE/line checks?

Whatever happened to "priming the pump" for open time? Guys have complained before about not getting a sweet trip on a VTO and then seeing it in open time.
The answer was always "Skeds keeps some trips to prime the pump when trip trading starts."
I guess not anymore. On the MD-11 FO side, with 2 minutes to go there is one (1) trip in open time after 4 Aug. I guess that pump doesn't need priming after all.

Yep, happened last month too. I actually tracked down the "missing" OT pairings - they were all on the calendars of brand new Capt's with employee #s beginning with 4

Back to the original thread:
FxeGrid still will not work on Safari 6 Mt Lion or Lion.
I did upgrade to Mt Lion and observed same.
I did not see a quick fix, but will work this weekend.
In the mean time I suggest using the mini browser in the app:
Fx eGrid>Choose Browser>Fx eGrid.
By still using the app you will get notified when a new version is available.
Yes, it not full featured and you may sometimes still want to login directly with Safari.
Cheers

Jim Basciani found the needed code change.
Safari 6 needed a bracket [] instead of parenthesis().
Isn't coding and code maintenance fun?
Kudos to Jim.
Expect a post tonight.

Thanks Kurt,
It amazes me that both you and Jim can figure this stuff out. Great program -- both of them. I'm sure the amount of time you put into this is significant -- are you even making minimum wage? :) Your program is very much appreciated.

No longer have Safari 5 to test with, so please report any Safari/OS X combos that have problems.
Thanks again Jim.

appDude,
I'm still using Snow Leopard (w/Safari 5.1.7). Do you recommend that I update my Fx eGrid or just keep the versions that I have (and that work just fine).
As always, thanks for a great program. Every day I think to myself, "I owe that guy a beer (maybe a dinner)!"

You can download and try (and be the guinea pig).
Should be super simple to change back.
1.4 is untested on Safari 5 and Snow Leopard.
But you might just stay with 1.3.0 if it is working fine.
