What happens when you get to the top of the payscale as far as pay increases? Do you simply stop getting raises? (posted in cargo as I am particularly interested in FedEx)

Another way to get a raise once you've reached the top at FDX...Is to fly all the time. You see, we have no maximum on monthly payhours. The only thing holding you back are the FARS.
So, what many of our senior pilots do, is fly all the time. That way, when they're reminiscing with the kids and the grandkids...They can tell them about all the money they made while everyone else watched them grow up.

Or maybe they are flying make up hours from trips they dropped when they were junior and their kids were at home?

Someone once told me a long time ago that there is no such thing as a dumb question, only dumb people who ask questions :p
I think it was one of my old ground school instructors!
(Sorry, couldn't resist)

First year, hit the line in October, heard the story in November, witnessed the B&B circus act in December! Haven't made one in about 10 years. Not sure shrimp is still on the menu for the first few guys through the door, never has been for the average hub turn vampires.

I can honestly say that I never, not once, made it to a Christmas buffet night in Memphis, in fact, until this thread, I didn't even know that they existed. As for stacking my plate, I don't eat sea food, so even if I were there, the shrimp would have been safe from me anyway. Now if they had roast beef, that would have been another story. And what P.M response were you looking for?
