Up until this point, I've been using my parent's address for my FAA certificates because that has been the only stable thing so far in my career.

We recently just moved into a new house, but I cannot change my address online because it 'fails the USPS online verification' system. My guess is this is because it's a newly constructed home...

Ironically, I just got my medical renewed and put our new address on the form. I noticed today, that on the airman certification search on the FAA site, my address has been changed there, reflecting where we now live.

My question is: Do I still need to send the change of address form into the FAA and does my medical form, with the updated address on it, count as notification to them that I have a new permanent address.

I had that same issue last month. I contacted my state FISDO and was told that no it didn't count. I had to fill out the paper change of address form and mail it into the FAA in OK. The form link will be there when you get the message after trying online.

Also you are not required to tell them where you actually live...only give them an address where you can get official mail. You can legally keep it at your parent''s house if you want.
