Great location....
Suggestions
Multiple places in the rocks to party eat and pretty much have a great time.
1. Jacksons on George---just thru the allyway coming out of the Marriott next street over...4 floor bar, great Çhimay beer from Belgium
2. The orient Hotel in the rocks great place at night

3. just up the hill from the orient are two places....a german food place great for lunch and continue going up the hill under the overpass to the bridge and on about another 100 yards and it is the oldest hotel in sydney great little bar with a great appetiser of breads, onions cheeses etc ask at the bar...

I can attest to #2, the Orient Hotel. Was there on a Sunday night layover, and that joint was-a-rockin'.

Hey Gents. The German place is called Lowenbrau. Also as your walking up to the "Lord Nelson" (the oldest brewery in Sydney, the oldest pub is "The Hero of Waterloo", also in the rocks, and if you go there you'll see it hasn't been renovated for at least 100 years.), just before the overpass on your right is a set of stairs. Go up the stairs, turn left and go up the next set of stairs and you'll be on the street of the overpass. Turn Left and go to "The Australian" for a pizza.
Cheers.
