Someone told me about a good German restaurant just down from the Sheraton in Kowloon. Anyone got a vector? Thx.

I usually go to The Shunrbrat (sp?). Very good food and drink. I know where it is but can't remember the street name. I think it's on Mody just east of Hart.

Help me MD11Phlyer!, Help me!

If I recall correctly, it's across from the Marriott and to the right about 200 yards. I don't remember the name.

We're all still out at the bars. We won't eat lunch for a few hours.

The Sheraton is across the street and to the left of where we stay with UPS. I believe it has a large SINOPAC sign on top of it.

Good Luck,

FF

Here's a map for Schunurrbart. Good place.

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...3d&ambiguity=1

On this map, Schnurrbart is where the bottom of the "n" is in the bold face "Yau Tsim Mong"

It's on Prat Ave just past Carnavon Rd. It's on the right side, about 7 doorways. If you pass a Thai-Vietnamese restaurant you've gone too far. You'll miss it because it's just a door. No sign.

Hope this helps.

You guys are awesome, thanks. I'll let you know how it is. I also got a vector towards the Beirgarten off Hanoi Rd, just off the main drag.

Default Right next door....

Go to the bottom floor of the Sheraton to the door where the car drops you, turn right out the door and then left on the sidewalk. The German place is about 50 yards down on the left, you'll walk past a subway entrance on the way. They have Veltins on tap which I have never seen outside of N. Germany and the potato pancakes are awesome. Enjoy.

PS. Just trying to return a favor with the directions. Previously someone on this forum gave me excellent step by step directions to a great tailor in HKG.

Oops, made the assumption you were staying at the Sheraton, mapquest is probably better gouge.

Thanks SNIZ. Looks like I am surrounded by German food! I'll have to keep some of these in reserve for next time. I've got a good chest cold starting, so I'm off the the FANDA pharm too. Another HKG treasure!

I think the place is called King Ludwigs and is set up like a german beer hall. I second that the food is great, and the band later in the evening is pretty decent.
