Default Overseas Medical certificate??

I am currently furloughed from my last Airline, and I haven't been able to find a job here in the states, here is my question: When one of the requirements to apply for an overseas job, they ask for a medical certificate, is there a specific medical or the FAA works just fine??
Thank you guys/girls if you can help me out with this concern.

hello
what? you mean you too cannot find gainful employment in aviation ??!! i thought it was just me!

you need to have a valid faa medical get get your foot in the door...
if for example you want to fly in china , you will need to convert/get a chinese license and a chinese medical.
if you are flying overseas in an usa registered aircraft overseas then you of course just need a faa license and medical.

It varies with the country and the contract. I understand that Japan, Korea, and China require one to pass their medical (not surprising in Japan's case since you are required to hold their license as well). India accepts a foreign medical, as do most of the ME countries. The contract agency advertising the position should be able to give you details.

Dude...did you do your comm in a B737? Your tagline is confusing. ATP written passed, with B737 type? Are you a sim instructor or something? I'm guessing you have a 25 hour PIC limitation and a ICAO restriction on it???
