Of course you can still become an airline pilot with a degree in history or philosophy or scuba diving or basket weaving. Airlines don't typically care what your degree is in, as long as you have one. [If you're applying for a pilot position.]
There are many posts about college degrees - it will be worth your time to do a search and read through them. Bottom line, pick a subject you are interested in and could see yourself pursuing if something should happen and you need a fall back career.
My advice is to focus on your degree first - get good grades. Airlines will look at your grades to determine what kind of student you are. Remember, they have classes and a learning environment too....
While you're in college work on your PPL - do it slowly, when you have time. College first though. When you're ready to pursue the flying gig then interview many flight schools and choose the best fit for you. There are many posts on how to choose a flight school too.
Hope this helps!
