OJAQ ILS 01 Course Reversal Question
Studying the OJAQ Jepp ILS 01 approach with another pilot and we couldn't agree on what to tune when completing the course reversal and intercepting the ILS inbound.
In other words, would you switch from the vor/dme freqs to the ils paired or ils with same dme?
Thanks in advance guys.
I cannot find the approach online, so I will try to find one I can attach here. Thanks guys.

The iAQA does have DME when you put in the paired freq of 38x. We tested it while VMC to compare the two. I can see the 78x would be better for LOC backup and save some time on the missed, but I also see how the 38x is nice for SA and dme to the ILS itself. Thoughts? Thanks for the reply.

Twin Wasp,
I see your point with regard to the plate calling it an "ILS" as opposed to "ILS DME" at the top of the Localizer freq box. I threw in the paired freq and it worked, but it shouldn't be used operationally since it is not listed as such.

If you can keep both tuned throughout, even better. In what equipment and how equipped would you be flying this?

Sorry for the delay guys. Deployed and been a little busy. C-130H2 is the aircraft, and we do not have an FMS that auto puts in the paired for us.
Wrote Jepp and here is what they said:
Dear Mike,
Thank you very much for sharing your observation with us.
For the ILS approach on RWY 01 at OJAQ please have 110.10 MHz paired with 38X DME channel dialed in.
Please find attached the AIP page for your reference.
Best regards,
Sven
