Latest Interview Gouge at Skywest
#44
I have interviewed with "OO" 3 times over a span of 5 yrs. Every time my corporate (pt 135/91) experience has augmented my technical interview portion. I am a current CFII as well but I do not think that changes anything. They seem to approach this differently with anyone who has 91/135 experience. Also, what happens is the interviewers have mostly no idea of what the systems are on GA aircraft. I've been burned by guys by using terms and components they never knew existed. You are better off learning the systems on a smaller 121 aircraft and using those instead of what you are flying unless the aircraft you are flying is of the dual purpose variety like a Legacy or Challenger. Hope that helps & answers your question. Just in case you are curious my type ratings are: AVL-39, C-550, D-50, DHC-8, EMB-145, B-757/767 with about 2000 hrs PIC in the PC-12(all variants)
Skywest is a good company to get hired at right now. Be prepared and informed and the interview should not be a problem...Good luck!
