Will a second job hurt?

Will a second job hurt?
I am at my third regional, still hoping for a move to cargo or legacy carriers. I have an interview for a second job (retail) to pay bills. Will moonlighting hurt my chance of taking the next step in my airline career?

Having a second job, as long as it does not interfere with your primary job should not be an issue for a prospective employer in my honest opinion. It does show that you are a hard worker...
Lots of airline folks are working more than one job nowadays... Military/Guard Reserve duty is a prime example...
I may get chastised by the group for "not helping the pilot staffing conundrum" here, but curious:
Have you thought about "doing more" at your current employer, such as picking up open time (if even contractually possible)?
The thing that would concern me if I was a prospective employer is that you are on your third regional. So long as you have a good explanation for "changing jobs" frequently, then it should not be an issue (I.e. Furlough, BK etc).

Thanks, no open time to be had. First regional went under, second was a placeholder until I could go to a regional where I live. I was just curious if another job would show lack of ability to live on a budget.
