Default Online Master's Degree while at a regional

Greetings to everyone,

I am strongly considering to begin an online degree program in aviation for an MSA. I am currently gainfully employed at a regional where block alone can reach 85 to 95 hours per month, and yeah we all know it can be gruelling at times. Lately I have been receiving eleven to fifteen days off per each bidding period, FYI.

I am wondering for those of you who have undertaken online degrees how you have approached your time management on the roads, and how you have managed to conduct research on your studies to tackle your goals. Of course, any tips or hints that you could provide are greatly appreciated!

Look into Penn States online MBA program. It isn't cheap but carries some nice weight.... You will be in the hotels... studying... your days off... you will be studying...

I went home and spent hours in my room for the entire few days off I had. I did this so I could leave the little things for the overnights. That's really the best way to keep your sanity and stress levels low.

I did an online program while in the Navy... As long as you have an Internet connection you can do all of what you need for weekly reading/responses and class participation. Large papers and projects take a little planning but are doable as well.

Thank you all. Did you all study full time or was part time what worked best? How long did it take to finish your degree?

I earned a masters online in 21 months taking 2 courses a term. I knocked a lot of the reading assignments out while on the hotel exercise equipment or deadheading around the world. When doing the term papers I used an APA style format tool. The one I used is now defunct but here is a link to one that was recommended to me as I now consider pursuing a doctorate online.

It's definitely worth it and Good luck with your studies!

Mind if I ask what you got your Master's in? I am looking to do the same thing, just trying to figure out which way to go. I have a pretty solid background in Aviation Safety (USN ASO school, NTSB accident investigator), but considering getting a MA/MBA in wealth/financial management.
