Default Another Quick Vacation Question

Okay, I need someone to look over my thought process here:

I have 8 Days of Vacation scheduled to start on the 15th. One trip (RFO) ends on the 13th and the next trip begins the 20th. If I slide the vacation to the 14th, I can knock out both trips using the 48hr int'l buffer on the first trip and still touching the second trip. I have enough hours in the bank for both. Is this correct?

Thanks for the help.

You sir are correct. If you look at the Bid Period Processing Summary at the bottom of the processing page, your 48 hour buffer may have already knocked out that 1st trip.

Even if you didn't have enough hours to cover both trips, you can slide and knock them out. Your vacation bank will go negative and it's carried forth to next year (no big deal).

Or go neg and then you can go into view/add window for this month and pick up a cherry trip. You make up the vacation deficit that month and fly a sweet trip.

Yep, I did the same thing a couple years ago - knocked out 120hrs of trips including c/o!

Don't have the contract in front of me but 48hr duty free may only apply to secondary and reserve lines. Read it to make sure!

Past...

edit...

A vacation 48 hr duty free buffer applies to Res/Secondary line holders only. 7.G.2

If you slide you vacation to conflict with an international duty free buffer (12.D.1.d) it is considered to be in conflict with your vacation.
7.G.1

You hit an international duty free buffer not a vacation buffer...

Just moved it one day to make sure it did conflict. Once I submitted it, VIPS showed the conflict on both trips. Thanks for the help.

By the way, MD11Fr8Dog, 120 hrs, you the man!
