Default FDX: LCA's taking F/O trips from open time?

A good trip for an F/O just popped up in open time with a show time more than 24 hours away. Just as fast as it popped up, it was taken by an LCA in the F/O seat! Is this right? I could see it if it were last minute, but 26 hours away is plenty of time to get a real F/O. Any thoughts? ( Airbus Trip 4397/6 Apr)

Most likely, it popped up in open time during the transition as they removed the F/O and added the Flex under a PDO bump.

In any case, these guys do have to stay current in the right seat too.

It's an XTRA pairing. No original F/O to bump.

Sounds like they bumped the FO for Captain IOE training.

The Captains not doing IOE. I can't see why this LCA should have been assigned this trip either.

It seems that if he wanted to bump someone to get landings, then that is what he should have done. If he is flying to bump up his pay, then he should pick up Capt trips, since that is what he is getting paid as.

Are there any LCA guys that could chime in as to whether you guys are given any guidance on a matter such as this?
