Default When will FDX hire off the street again?

After all the doom and gloom that has been put out recently, I am just curious how long people think it will be before they hire off the street again?

Hey, there's a few slots open in HKG. Don't forget to update your standing bid. Probably be minimum of 2 years, pending retirements and growth.

Probably longer, they'll want age 70 + by then.

Not sooner than '09. Asking when in '09 at this point is like asking me for next week's lottery numbers.

May 13th is the close of our MOE (Mother of all Excesses). You will get better info after that date.

Spring of 2011.

The economy is going to tank even worse due to job cuts and rise in unemployment. Plus, throw in the fact that this is an election year and everyone is in 'wait and see' mode until they know who the next president will be (hopefully McCain). So that means more doom and gloom until spring of '09. Things will start to get better the beginning of 2010 but the company will not rush to hire for another year.

Good enough wag for ya

Thank you all knowing economic czar ... can you lease post your guess for the lottery numbers also?

One things for sure, the bean counters are going to be very reticent about letting ops hire more when the time comes.
