My wife and I have iPhones and I installed Truphone on them. Unfortunately calling iPhone to iPhone isn't free even when both have Truphone installed. Here's the response I got back when I asked them about it.

"The Truphone service for the iPhone is an outbound calling solution. When
you're connected to Truphone you're able to make cheap Truphone calls over the Internet. Please note that inbound calls will be received via your mobile/cell network and not via Truphone.

New Truphone accounts for the iPhone won’t be assigned a separate Truphone number. Instead your outgoing caller id will be presented as your
mobile/cellular number that you entered during the installation process.

Calls to other Truphone users who are using Nokia devices are free when both parties are online!!"

I was in Berlin yesterday and used part of the $4.00 they gave me when I signed up to call home and it worked great. I was using a free wifi connection from a Haagen-Dazs. Not bad.

SWEET!!! Waited in line for 4 hours yesterday for my new White 16G iPhone! What is it with pilots and their toys and gadgets?!?!? Love it!

I bought mine at the Apple store and actually went online to apply for the corporate discount, you don't have to go to the AT&T store.

Mine is at the FedEx site here in PDX and now I have to wait for to get the ATT store on Monday. I guess its a good thing that I am in EWR right now and not at home.

I just picked up my iPhone, very cool. I have a problem though, I wasn't able to get the discount on the phone. I had my FAN number but no dice. Any suggestions from those in the know?

I went back and re-read the first post. I thought we were eligible for a discount on the 3G phone? Has anyone been successful in getting the discount for the 3G? If so how did you do it?

I just picked up my new phone at an AT&T store. The FedEx discount was applied then and there to the plan. The guy who sold it to me and activated it has a brother who works for FedEx and was pretty knowledgeable about our discount. He was about to try to sell me a case when he caught himself - "Oh, yeah - your discount doesn't apply to Apple products."

So, AT&T products and plans - yes.

Apple products (including the phone itself) - no.

At least according to my local AT&T store.
