I'd rather have vacation in winter and miss an ice event in Memphis than have summer vacation and miss a TS in Memphis.

I'd rather just be senior enough to miss MEM, altogether.

I take 1st vacation in Jan and 2nd in Aug. This usually means Christmas and following days off well into Jan. Aug vacation means August off. And when you've got enough seniority (<50% IMO) it's also easy to avoid MEM altogether.

Since we've been slow and drops have been easy, I've had alot of time off this summer and now see why some of the more senior guys bid to have practically the entire summer off. That's nice but missing an ice event in MEM is a good thing too.
