Default Centurion Air cargo

Looking for some info on Centurion Air Cargo....

Are you still on furlough? There is buzz about Centurion getting all Gemini MD-11's. I was wondering if anyone had heard this rumor.
How is the Schedule, Pay and pay during training, Benefits?
Best way to get the resume on the 'good pile'?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

As per Miss Valerie Coulson their chief pilot, they only got N701GC wich is the worst MD in the market. It's going in for a huge check and wont be out till the end of the year. The other MD11's are coming from some Asian company and wont be on the certificate till late next year. Their are only 5 FO's on furlough and they will be back to work Sep. 15th. As for the F/E's it doesn't look good because she says the plans are to be out of the DC-10s by 2010. They expext to hire Fo,s only at the beggining of next year.

Thank you for all the clarification. Do you have more info regarding the pay scale, pay during training; I understand that the pay scale posted in APC is old and that they have a new pay scale.and monthly guarantee? How is the work environment? And how secure is the company? And how much flying are they doing on monthly bases?.
I hope you don’t mind my questions but I am very interested in Centurion Air Cargo since they are base in Miami.

Thank you

I didnt flt at Centurion however since no one from there has sounded off:

I ran into the Centurion guys in South America and in a few bars in Miami a lot. They where nice guys and some seemed happy since they where based where they are based where they lived. However the money was abysmal and they dont seem that secure with a lot of rumors going around about huge cut backs one week and the next huge expansions. I think its fairly typical of Miami base carriers.

My thoughts are if you dont need a career place, and certainly dont need the money its a good place.

Best of Luck!

PS: also look at AmeriJets they do all day trips on 72's

I would think Transmile and if those are the birds I would suspect that they are not in good shape

Well I have being doing some homework they do have one MD-11 from Gemini the tail number is N701GC, and it is in a heavy check, the others are coming I believe from China.

I also read this report from South Florida Business Journal on the internet.

Miami-Dade County commissioners on Tuesday approved job growth incentive deals for three companies, including Centurion Air Cargo, which is planning a $123 million project at Miami International Airport.

The identities of the companies were kept confidential in the applications, but facts surrounding the deals have made some identities apparent.

Centurion, a Miami-based international air cargo, would get $1 million over six years under the county's Targeted Jobs Incentive Fund (TJIF) if it can create and maintain 200 jobs at MIA over six years. The new jobs would pay an average of $37,000 a year.

Centurion executed a sublease from Annapolis, Md.-based Aeroterm, which simultaneously signed a lease for 48 acres in the northeast sector of MIA. The lease -- for 30 years with two five-year extensions -- would pay the county $3.5 million a year, with the price escalating after the expansion.

Aeroterm is to invest $123 million in expanding the 200,000-square-foot facility to 632,000 square feet. That includes expanding and rehabilitating the warehouse and hangar to have an annual processing capacity of 400,000 tons. The site will have 90 truck docks and parking ramps for eight large aircraft.

In a previous interview, Erin Gruver, vice president of development for Aeroterm, said the two-year project would break ground in the third quarter, pending building permit approval, and be funded by his company and Chicago-based CalEast Global Logistics.

Centurion currently has 230 employees at a site it leases on the western side of MIA.

No, the one in TPA is either 702 or 703 (can't remember which), and is going to World.
