I agree completely. There's zero difference in the worth of a pilot between aircraft types within one airline.

So a 777 pilot should be compansated the same as an RJ pilot?

Thank you. Your optimism is like a breath of fresh air. Like a breath of fresh air right out of a rhinoceros' butt.

From what I can tell everyone so far who "likes it" are FO's.

Do you also think that going from a top pay at 12 years to 15 years was a good idea?
Do you think focusing on 5 th year pay , which you are on for one year, instead of 12(now 15th ) year pay, which you will be on for much longer was a smart move?

If all pilots are the same, and they are not, then we should all be paid what you where getting before you came to UPS.

Wide/narrow body pay concept is a post Lorrenzo scab pay concept, why people think it should be the industry standard is part of our race to the bottom.
Weight and speed pay concept, aka differential pay, allowed the smaller aircraft to be operated by the mainline carrier (PAX comparison would be the 50 seat airplane being part of the mainline) and not part of some subcontractor with small airplanes where the pilot has a limited future.

Poster stated at same airline, since we are talking Fedex and UPS, the airplanes are getting bigger and migrating larger. UPS smallest bird is a 757. So should a UPS 744 Capt make the same as a 75 driver?. Yes, and I personally prefer that method.
Fedex is losing it's 72's so their nexus is 757-777/MD11. So same pay rate isn't farfetched. Am a Capt, still like it. (but then I didn't chase the money by going to ANC either, so I am suspect <g>)

Missing the sim you are going to have to do pre-trip to Shanghai for currency, so, it will be a 5 or 6 day trip to Shanghai for 33 hours

Let me guess.

You are a senior FO or junior CA. Longevity around 7-11 years. Probably hired much younger than the retired military crowd. Sound about right?
