Absolutely correct! And don't forget there are thousands dying in the Sudan weekly due to malnutrition and many people in the world live on $1 a day! How dare any of us even think to complain - the company could lower everyone's wages to $5/day and we'd still be lucky compared to those fools - so stop, stop, stop being so negative!!

So only people who 100% agree with your point of view are worth giving the time of day to?

I believe we may be the only ones.

******break-break***********

KDEN are you married? ....have a significant other?

...do you have children?

...do you have any family members you want to be with vs. flying over all of your holidays?

Of course, your life is your choice --- but, you must realize the vast, vast majority of other folks you work and fly with at FEDEX simply don't share your passion for being on the road over, arguably, the two most family-oriented holidays of the year.

I am glad we strive collectively to gain the best possible work rules/conditions which satisfy the majority of pilots at FEDEX....rather than accept rules/conditions that the most gung-ho pilot will fly under.

As an eternal optimist, just view this "whining/complaining" as desire for positive "continuous improvement!"

...I imagine that's a best-practice/industry standard you can agree with.

Happy Holidays!

In Unity,

DLax

Look at your schedules over the past few years. If it hasn't not improved and/or gotten worse then you can understand everyone's frustration.

No can drop anything touching the 24th:

A pilot may not drop a trip or R-day that is scheduled in whole or in part on
the following days (i.e. base days): New Year's Eve, New Year's Day,
Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.

When your seat senority goes up, but your schedule gets worse, something is wrong.

For an unofficial summary, here is what I came up with. No SIBA for Airbus, 727, and no pure int'l for MD were used. This is the % of lines that get into MEM on the night of 24, layover somewhere else over Christmas, or start on AM of 26. I didn't count lines that dh home on 24 or dh out on 25 or 26.

757 - 36%
A300 - 27%
727 - 40%
MD - 39%

Your numbers may very depending upon which lines you chose to count.

Yes I was bored.

You can trade for a trip not touching any of those holidays and then drop that trip.
