Bid Question-FDX
If I were to lateral to a different domicile (ANC-MEM) on the same airplane, would I still be sent in seniority order based on the new domicile (as if I were changing a/c). I looked in Section 24 and couldn't find it. Thanks!

Haz,
I haven't looked it up, but I think the answer is that since you don't require training, you don't go in seniority order. I think the training order (and passover implications) are for those that actually have to go to training. I think they could move you early if you would be needed more in the new domicile.
We haven't had a bid in a while, but that is how I remember it.

You do go in seniority but they can keep you in your old base until they train someone to replace you if that is what they want to do. I went to LAX when they opened it and even though I should have been there right when it opened they sent guys jr to me while I had to wait for someone to be trained to replace me in ANC. That time it turn out to be a good thing but that's just me.

At the whim of the company
My experience with MEM to LAX, and again LAX to MEM: It's not spelled out in the contract, so the company does what ever it wants to do.
The good news is, however, the company isn't bound to the contract either, so there's some give and take... ie.. chief pilot may ask you when you want to go. There might be someone else in line wanting to go ASAP, that is junior to you, that they would let go first if you wanted.
I've found that the company can tell you that you start at the new domicile at the start of the next bid, or they can tell you it will be a few months.
