Default FDX- Pairing Question

The original Captain on one of my trips for Sept. was removed for some reason and a Captain from another crew base was assigned to the trip (weird), but obviously a different paring number. On the new Captain's pairing it has "(TRN)" attached to the pairing. I'm assuming that means training, but I've never seen that attached to a pairing. Does that mean I'm on the sucky pilot list and need extra training? Anyone else ever seen this? thanks.

What equipment, and what base? I've been here 5 years and haven't seen anything like that. I think they're supposed to tell you if you are on EOS. Other than that, no idea.

When I seemed to be getting more than my fair share of line checks (they must have heard about me?) I asked Standards if there was "something" I should know about concerning EOS? They said EOS is a SCP program and that "if" you are in it, you will know about it ... (I guess that was good news?)

Nope, not on EOS. MD-11, MEM based, but took the MEM Capt. off of the trip and put on an ANC Capt, which seems strange, but if it was training I would assume there would be a trainee tied to the trip (name on the pairing). No big deal, just curious if anyone else had ever seen this. Thanks.

I was crew notified of my bump for training 3 days prior last week, so YMMV. FYI, if you've got a dh associated with your trip, and you've deviated, don't forget to call Corp Travel and cancel your deviation. I forgot and didn't call until 24 hours after the dh, luckily SWA agreed to refund the ticket, just another reason why I use them whenever I can.

If there is a trainee, maybe he has a different trip number...in summary format, click on one of the FDX flight numbers, a page will come up listing all the crew members on that flight, that's how I found out there was trainee on the trip. I'm LAX based, F/O under training was a ANC guy, and the Capt was a MEM guy, so they'll do what it takes to get a guy trained, I guess.

Does trip go to OAI? If so, that's why. Only a handful of standard guys can fly there.

Had a similar situation last year. Capt removed and deadheaded home half way thru a 4 day ANC trip to the lower 48. Deadhead a capt from Mem off draft to fly the trip back to ANC then deadhead back to MEM. I couldn't figure it out. called CS (after capt had already left to go home to ANC) . After talking to a scheduler and manager, no one had any idea why the capt was sent home. Neither capt was a LCA nor was I do any kind of checkride. I suggest you don't assume anyone has a plan.
