The Air Force flies the T-6A for pilot training at Columbus, Laughlin, Vance and sheppard bases. The navy has the alphas like you said at wing six and the bravos in whiting and transitioning to them in corpus.

The Air Force flies the T-6A at NAS Pensacola as well. I guess my question is, since the T-6 is a single engine turbine, you can't enter the time in the application separately, right? Nobody found out that they count it as "jet" time or anything like that? Just double checking.

I heard there are approximately 10 in the pool so far. The UPS pool is a competitive pool, not first in first out. They want to have new hires ready in case they get word to hold a fourth class.

Maybe what UPS should do is expand their thinking to include the current set of already hired-and-on-the-line pilots, such that if they find a new candidate, whom they consider "more qualified" than someone already on the payroll, hire him to replace that person. After all, this flying airplane stuff is gigantically complex and only the best of the best of the best need apply.
