Agree 100%, Netjets just passes a 28% increase in pay with other benefits, it's time the AMCI carriers step up or they will shrink or go out of business.

Anyone on here work for Kalitta and also try to juggle part time Guard commitments? I'm curious if anyone can expand on working the 17 day schedule and mixing in mil leave for drill/AFTPs?

I think that what he meant was do your guard guys drop mil leave in the middle of your 17 days and break it up?

Scheduling cannot deny you your military duty. They will work with you. They have to work with you. It should not be much of an issue at all.

How much will they work with you?

I'm assuming they do not have to and will not positive space you to your unit, which means jump seating.

What if you're on the other side of the world?

Its not the companies responsibility to get you to your mil duty, they just have to make the time available for you to fulfill your duty. However, they are responsible to get you back to the lower 48. And, if the mil time is at the end of your 17 days, they may well buy you a ticket to your duty station if the cost is close to or less than a ticket home.

Don't fret over it.
