Take your choice.
This right here is what it comes down to.

Going to FedEx might mean more $$$, maybe.

Going to Delta or AA right now, your QOL/schedule will be much better, and improve much faster.

Which is more important to you???

You can hold NYC 717 Capatin as a July 2007. I know because I can hold it right now. Don't focus just on Delta or FedEx. Apply everywhere and then make the determination based on your family needs.

Excellent advice with your previous posts Albie.

I wish I was making $300K. Yes, I can hold WB CA, but I'd be sitting reserve. Not too many make $300K on reserve.

I was here in 1999. I am no where close to being a widebody captain making $300,000+ a year! Who are these people you speak of?

The statement is simply made for those that didn't jump ship and take the bait at the surge happening at the legacies in that time period. Many did. Is a 1996-2001 hire at Delta or United making wide body captain pay? If you lean forward, many break that number at FedEx. Or get close anyways.

Obtw, just checked the number of pilots at Delta. 11,200+. I'm sure the movement to the left seat is obvious and plentiful.

Here's something to think about should you want to work at FedEx.

We currently have ~ 4000 active pilots, in the next 10 yrs almost 2000 will be forced to retire due to the age 65 rule.
So in 10 yrs a person hired today will likely be at 50% on the seniority list, I doubt the same can be said for Delta, United, AA etc.

What purpletail said is what I was looking at. The relative seniority movement proportional to number on property. Plus, the other thing that I like is , if I'm not mistaken, the fact that FedEx has never furloughed. How many airlines can say that?

The scheduled retirement list at Delta has 6039 pilots retiring by 2025. That puts a new hire at the 50% in 10 years also.
