Default ABX crews on strike????

BTW

That contract is with ATSG not ATI or ABX...

ATSG is obligated to fulfill their end of it. Tails and rubber on ramp, just as long as it's an ATSG aircraft. They can pull aircraft and pilots on off at their own will. I doubt Amazon has say in it, influence yes. This is an instance where that single carrier filling starts to have merit.

For it or against it. Watch how the company maneuvers.

The contract is with ATSG, but you're working on an assumption claiming Amazon doesn't look at it as 2 airlines. Amazon is on record saying otherwise, and believe me they know ATI has abysmal performance.

1) It's viewed as one airline by the customer. ATSG not ABX not ATI sold the lift. It's literally one of the grounds YOUR union filed single carrier on. I know there are others but the holding company holding out lift to the public then farming it out is a big one. It shows single workforce. Single workforce needs common representation. Go call Rick and tell him you disagree. I personally think you'll get it and I don't feel like union dog and pony shows right now. I've personally been screwed by both to the point it feels like prison rape.

2) Our reliable has held at 98-98.5 percent. That's documented through ATSG. Actually, beating ABX for the year if you factor 3 days of missed flights. Ok ok, admittedly it's not right to count those... PLUS we received some real POS lease returns and it took months to get those tails straightened out. Unfortunately, guess whose maintenance we use.....hint....it ain't delta!

Not trying to come off as an @ss, and not going for a p******ing match. L8frt can attest that's just me with my typical cupcakes and rainbows attitude. I truly love messing with a few of you, but I won't leave you on the ramp or hijack your van. (Unlike a particular ABX capt did to me REPEATEDLY in KSCJ 12yrs ago)....

I will never say his name but one Christmas I had a capt over there throw the rule book out the window to get a WHOLE bunch of us home and by doing so he himself missed Christmas. So there's proof y'all aren't a total bunch of a******s to work with..!

Nothing I want more than the two groups to become one, didn't mean to suggest otherwise. Just stating that thinking our customers don't understand ATI and ABX are currently operating as two distinct airlines is a mistake- the fact that the contracts are with ATSG doesn't change that and the single carrier petition does not contradict that in any way. In fact, the purpose of the single carrier petition is to say 'a single entity is operating two distinct airlines doing the same flights for no reason other than to whipsaw. They essentially are and should be treated as one airline' That is literally the entire point. ATSG is obviously playing a game, but the pilot groups *and* the customers are wise to it- that was my point. I hope we all sing kumbayah together and fix the problem. I want to be pals, seriously.

ATSG has both of us in the palms of their hands- in one hand is the highest paid pilot group and best work rules in the ACMI industry, in the other hand is essentially the lowest paid and some of the worst work rules- you tell me what the solution is. It's up to us, collectively, to not **** it up and help improve working conditions and pay for everyone in the industry, not just ATSG employees. What exactly is it that ATI pilots are fighting for? As someone who, after punching some numbers into a calculator, declined an interview with ATI but jumped at the chance to work for ABX, I have a hard time understanding what it is that is dividing us. It seems to me the core problem is that you guys arent really fighting for anything, you are just passively letting your representation screw you over. It might be painful, but I dont think its unfair to say ATI guys are unmotivated and kind of rudderless- and who can blame them really, they are all looking to just move on. A lot of guys at ABX actually want to make a career out of it- whether thats a good idea or not is another discussion, but things are good enough here that people are interested in staying, that doesn't seem to be the case at ATI. Maybe thats unfair (or outright incorrect), but its my read of things.

As to reliability, it doesnt even matter. Not trying to have a ****ing match about it, but thinking our customers view us as one airline and don't understand what ATSG is up to is a fantasy. They have a lot at stake, you think they don't have a thorough understanding of how ATSG operates? I could be wrong, and I'd love to be shown that I am- but an Amazon rep doing a site audit spoke to the pilots directly and stated that they have noticed ABX has significantly better reliability than ATI. Who cares though, honestly? This place will either become a pretty good place to work or it will tear apart at the seams and lead the race to the bottom, thats up to us. It doesn't matter who gets what flights done if we let ourselves get screwed by the process.

Heard that abx will glue the amazon flying it has from now on. It wont be going to ati..as far as getting the rest of the airplanes, thats still up in the air.. but will keep the 5 or 6 that are currently being operated for amazon.

Default ABX crews on strike????

Woof

I guess in para 1) the point I failed to get across is that being two airlines doesn't matter regardless of what Amazon sees. The contract was with ATSG and they can "whipsaw" us back in forth at will. I've done this rodeo before 20yrs ago. When a holding company performs the "holding out" then farms it out to it's own airlines it's seen as a common workforce. I've talked to RZ and he is anything but stupid. This among others is what drove the filing without a doubt.

---This is for all you guys on that side of the fence that can't understand our view point.--- Rudderless??

I'll school ya real quick! For over a decade we have been F'ed over and financially F'ing destroyed. I know guys that have been downgraded multiple times, furloughed, recalled for a couple weeks and furloughed again. People have lost families homes cars retirement you name it. We've had multiple owners come in and just rape the place of assets and move on. We've been sent to the sh i ttiest places in the world without compensation. Hell, my bank holds my paycheck until the Monday after because of insufficient funds transfers from ATI. Most are better than halfway through the career and have had to start over financially multiple times. Put some personal hardships on top of all this and I'm greatly surprised we haven't had a office incident which makes national news. The only thing that makes it worth damn are the crews. I know guys that have literally lost it all, I mean everything. They still come to work and give 100% and are a pleasure to work with. Motivation?? Most gave up on that crap years ago.

Don't get me started as far as pay offs and cronyism etc etc... faith in union BS. Got guys here furloughed out of seniority because their union reps sold them out and then took management jobs. You had union guys in the right seat making offline check capt pay and being the asst to asst salad tosser in KILN. So no, we aren't all into the union either. Maybe it's worked for you guys but not us. To be totally honest the **** you guys pull off and the returns you get just amaze the F outta us over here.
