Going down for a couple of nights this week. Any suggestions? Never been to Brazil before.

Can't wait to see the answers on this one. It is a great layover and you can get into as little or much trouble as you want. Definately stop by for a vino at the hotel bar "the cave" I believe and have breakfast delivered to the pool. Order it from room service from your room and that way it is free. Yes, they always ask, "is this for one or two". I'll leave my thoughts on Ernesto out but if you want to have him run you around, it is good to get your bearings. Have a good time.

There's nothing to do. Nothing to see. The locals hate us. The women are ugly. The food sucks and the beer's awful. <G>

Are you Happily Married? Want to stay that way?

Don't go

For a first timer I would let Ernesto (don't worry he'll get in touch with you)
drive you out to dinner and to a Night club (consider my previous statement about your marrige). He'll pay for everything and than charge you Amrican $$ at the end of the night. He naturally takes a cut but $30-50 bucks will go along way.

Have fun

Leave your company credit card at home.

trevesan churrasqueria for dinner then cafe cancun for drinks and party. if you dont pick up a girl there (cafe cancun) and you wanna go pro then there are many ,many, many places....ask any of the other freight dogs in the hotel and they can direct you.... I miss those decadent layovers....

No. Remember Jack L's email about $25,000 in charges on the company card?

Mixto Quente= grilled ham and cheese

X-Tudo= Cheeseburger with everything on it from the kitchen, (egg, etc.) Pronounced "Sheese Toodo"

this is for the hangover and/or late at night.

I recommend Skol beer.
