Default A trip to MDE

I'm going to Medellin Colombia to visit this girl that I meet a few weeks ago. Was looking at tickets and it seems the only carriers that go there are Avianca and American, does any other airline go there from the New York City/Philadelphia area?. Is Avianca a safe and good airline to take? I remember that they've had some problems as far as maintenance. Tickets are inexpensive & I'd love to go and see her in her home city.
Any recomendations as far as the city itself? I've heard it's very beautiful & the city has a lot of models that come from there. Any other thoughts?

I'm here in bogota and I like this country so far. I'm leaving foe medellin tomorrow and have heard it's better than bogota. The drivers here, especially the bus drivers, make New York cabbies look like gentle drivers. Ridding in a bus is an experience it self. To sum it up; the country is beautiful, the women are gorgeous, and the food is excellent. I stick out, despite my efforts, pretty well because I'm taller than most of the people and I'm white. I recomend visiting here, but one does have to be low key about things, some people try to take advantage if they see money or a camera out in the open. This is a good place for the person who doesn't like the tourist crowd and doesn't mind taking the road less traveled.

I'll try to bring you back a hottie, but the problem is like trying to pick out the best Snickers in a pile of Snickers, and that I probably don't have a bag that is big enough to check.
I'm in Medellin and this is such a gorgeous city. Nice to be breathing air in a city that sits lower than 12,000 feet.

I'm here now...it's not that bad at night in the certain parts of the city...just have to be careful...the hardest part for me is the flying..the controllers stink and you fly all full approaches... no vectors to final like in US...lol....
