Easily when your competition is an emb 135. yeah a 50 seat 9 is WAAAY more comfortable to a 6'10" basketball player but its also a lot more expensive to operate.

Just the md80 pax ops are ending. Not sure about the rest of pax ops. Lots of rumors as to why they are hiring but no one really knows on the line anyway.

It's called hire till you fire. It happens all the time in this industry. Especially at USA Jet. We are all just pawns in their little game of chess.

Changed my mind. They sent an app for the DA-20 FO position, but gave details for the -9??? Too much of a paycut and hit to my sked. Seeing the pay was a slap back to reality that if I really want taco palenque, I'll just bid for a texas overnight. Good luck over there guys. I still smile when I hear the freighters in and out of YIP on the radio.

Anyone on the inside know how many more classes they are planning on having. Is there still attrition? Are they keeping busy?

I backed out for this reason as well. I applied for the -9 and received info regarding it, but once I got to the paperwork portion, it was disclosed only DA-20 hiring. Not a problem, but I was specifically interested in that flying. Good luck to all applying!
