Also SAT may be ending at the end of April or whenever that contract is up for renewal. One thing is for certain. There is nothing permanent even though the company insists there is. Bet on "being flexible" doing whatever the company asks even giving up days off due to their poor planning or a ticket home is just too expensive cause they wait till the last hr to buy them or forget all together. Another reason there is no direct answers is because the work rules change at a whim to suit the company's need. Honestly there is way better places to go to.

Is Xtra currently hiring? Any new contracts or improvements in pay?

Hiring. No improvement in pay. Actually a pay cut as the rules for per diem that the new owner agreed on were not added to the work policies. Basically only per diem while you're on the plane. Even on TDY.

What's the current pay? What's a ballpark figure someone could make with per diem?

Pay Scale is accurate on APC. That's a tough one to answer. Some guys I fly with never break guarantee some are always over. There is no reason to who flies more or less. I would count on being at guarantee the whole time and roughly $300 per diem a month.

That't the rumor. Along with 737 800s, airbus 320, 757, and 747s. Remember in aviation nothing is for certain until you are sitting in it and getting paid; even then I wouldn't believe it.
