A friend tried to get me to go over there, but my prior experience with the director of flight training told me to stay away.

Captain pay around $100 an hour. I think the guarantee is 70.

Shame that gates are so difficult to access at key airports like LGA and BOS. I'd like to see the new Eastern flying the MIA-JFK/LGA/EWR/BOS/PHL/SJU routes as an ULCC like Spirit with onward service to the Caribbean and Latin America. Focus on the East Coast and Latin America where the Eastern brand is still strong. However, lack of gate access and sufficient frequency (eg 8-10 flights a day between key destinations) would make it difficult. I still wish them luck!

Please make the bad men stop! Do you notice that women are never involved in any of this nonsense?

They obviously did something right as they got their 121 certificate in pretty good time. That only comes from having your **** together going into the certification process. Good luck to the new airline.
Dude, I have seen you on here for a long time and I usually respect your positions. By saying this latest Miami scum bag operation did something right by getting certified is a joke and you know it. All they will do is drag down wages while enriching the management "team." Then they will declare bankruptcy and leave with fat bank accounts. Again, you are not new, perhaps just confused. And to anyone who wants to work at the "New Eastern," I would say keep moving.

Airplane is still sitting on the ramp! You'd figure right after they got their certificate, the airplane would be flying its arse off, Nope!

Marketing's gotta sell charters. This weekend should prove busy for the charter operators... Of course if they are able to sell.

That is fair and I respect your opinion. However you still need a good 119 team in place to still go through the process smoothly, which from the outside looking in is what appears to have happened. I know this from experience.

I know you already have a negative view on them but you got to give them time. You can't sell charters during certification as I'm sure you know and a lot of those flights are bid on for weeks down the road. So It is conceivable they've only had two weeks to start bidding.

Plus they have an honor flight this week and inked an ACMI deal with a Cuban airline (maybe Havana Air) for trips to Cuba. Not to bad in two weeks IMO.

Again I wish them luck.

The Cuba flights are extremely low revenue for the airline. The fact that they are doing it with NG indicates they must have low balled falcon, world, vision or swift. Any large jet comany can do Cuba charters if they are desperate.

I wish no airline harm, however there is no need for another employee abuse company.
