Not out of business. Caesars breached the contract, so Via has found numerous other contracts on both the E120 and E145. Fleet plan is to double E120 fleet from 4 to 8. E145 fleet is presently at 6 but rumor is 2-3 more coming on line in the next few months for an as yet unnamed customer. Company is paying all pilots full salary to sit at home until new contracts start, so the owner has work for us to do in the near future or they would have furloughed us all.
121 certificate is in hand and in use. 2 aircraft have already finished conformity with the rest scheduled to be completed by October.

Well some of us are already hitched, but whether it falls remains to be seen. I think the next 4-6 months will be pretty revealing. If we can staff the 120's, and keep the 145's reliability up, we'll be ok.

Can somone provide some info on the 120 side of things currently? Ads out for home based Captains. What does that entail exactly? A couple of the airframes I believe are non EFIS which is fine just maybe old is all.
A few questions if I may;
Pay on the 120 and perdiem
training again where and how long. Ive heard shes a tough bird to learn?
Bennies again, medical/dental
CASS
Uniforms
Sounds like it could be a nice gig if Via can get over the recent bump in the rode.
Thanks again

Being on the 121 side flying ERJ's I know very little about the Brasilias. I do know they are operated under 135 and part 380. As for learning the plane, I do not know first hand, but have heard from others that it can be challenging to learn, but not impossible.
Pay according to HR yesterday is $65k, plus $350/day for every day over 16 worked in a month. Per Diem is listed on the APC profile as 2.85/HR but they fail to mention that it's only up to 14 hours... So $40/overnight (not great I know). Schedule should be 7/7 or 8/6. Uniform is black/silver with wings and boards provided.
Benefits are not stellar. No 401k match as of right now, no official PTO(but negotiating time off without losing salary is not hard if you ask), full health benefits through Aetna, but the premiums are extremely expensive for a family.
Not in CASS yet, but the 135 and 121 DO's have it near the top of the list of things to get done. KCM is available through NATA.
Fleet is projecting to double on the Brasilia side of the house next year as we continue to add flying for College Teams.
Any more specific questions, just PM me.

Walker, thanks very much for the info! Hope Via works out as it sounds like a decent company. If you are indication of the kind of people there then it's got to be a great company to work for.
Staying tuned for more info.

Thanks for the compliment. This place is much better than it was under previous owners. It's not perfect by any means, but the owner actually listens to input and learns from mistakes. I see a bright future here.
