Default Phenom 300

I see this is supposedly the top selling jet out there in the category. Of course the buyers are typically not pilots. Net Jets and Flight Options both are customers. I am sure they have done their homework before committing to this aircraft.

Any pilots care to chime in on product quality, reliability, etc ? Other comments, do you like it, etc ?

Does it need a power cart ?

Does it have an internal APU ?

Thank You

Great airplane for its category and size. Reliability has been good from my experience. Does not need a GPU to start (electric starters engagable from the battery), and does not have an APU.

We operate a 300 amongst our fleet.
GREAT airplane IMHO.
Does not have an APU but doesn't need one.
Air works great when powered up via engines or power cart.
Single pilot ops are a piece of cake.
Aircraft will do what it is published to do. We have done MIA-EGE nonstop with full paxs.
Lots of power and can do 35 degrees nose up at Vfs on takeoff.

All AOG issues for us have been electrical. Bad contractors or batteries. Although our dispatch rate is 95+%.

Goes straight to FL450 and does 400kts TAS.

Impressive, any limitations on that climb? Can it get to 450 as an initial altitude no matter the weight or temp?

Curious, what is the climb schedule?

225kts/.60M is the climb schedule via the book.
No limits on the climb. I have never not made it to 450. If it is ISA + zillion, it can be slow (1000fpm) from 410-450.

I climb in V/S to maintain 225 through FL270 ish. Then just set it to 2000 fpm till FL360ish. Above 360, I climb at 1200-1500 fpm depending on temps aloft.
One of those guys who like inertia when you level off. Even if you climb at .60M to FL450, the low speed awareness tape isn't in view.

IMHO, FL430 is its best altitude for all around perf. Fuel flow vs TAS
