FAA pilot jobs can be found at
www.usajobs.gov and you have to do either a series search for pilot (which falls alphabetically after aircraft maintenance) or do an agency search for FAA. Being under corporate is probably not the right place, they don't have a corporate department. Their jobs are highly sought after, do lots of instrument approaches and test accuracy of systems, and my understanding is you also need a secret security clearance. The word "inside recommendation" comes to mind, or maybe "good ole' boy system" when the words FAA and hiring are put together. As far as the 20% off your college loan, I haven't heard anything about that. Your last question, yes, a civilian pilot your whole life can work for the FAA, but once again, think good ole boy network. I don't work for the FAA but I do work for uncle Sam, and some coworkers discussed trying to get hired by the FAA so that is the only insight I have.
