Default EJM assisting clients find pilots

I found an ad where EJM is assisting their client in finding a pilot.
Does anyone have info on how this works?
Does this mean you interview with EJM or the client?
Do you work for EJM or the Client?

I haven't searched for a job in a while. Just looking at all my options.

Thanks.

If EJM is similar to the other management companies, you work for EJM. For the most part, the owner of the airplane is just like another "charter passenger." But of course, it is the owner and you will work more diligently to ensure that his needs are met.

O.K
I think I got the idea, that is if EJM is like other management companies. EMJ would be in control of the airplane and crewing it.

MOST accounts work with the management company finding piots, introducing them to the owners through interviews, then the pilots work for the management company - who bills the client a fee for the pilots salary (say 150K) and then adds on 30% (for example) for benefits....thus the owner getting billed 195K.

Where they REALLY get to screw the owner on is MX....but that a whole nother' story!.....or the infamous "charter revenue"...

Management companies are usually dirtbags. A dedicated, well paid Pilot can do a much better job looking out for the owners interests...despite the typical claims of fuel volume discounts, well behaved charter customers (animals) etc.

Good Luck

I hear what you are saying. Maybe the owner can find the right pilot that way and then get away from the management company and fees.

I was doing the same thing on a smaller scale and really taking care of the owners, all part 91 with an occasional monthly lease. The job is/was great until they now, they can't afford the plane. Oh well, I'm looking at all my options. Fracs. seem to be the right place, with security and pay (after a few yrs. as CA.)

How is EJM doing or growing??? Last time I talked to an EJM pilot, they managed 100+ airplanes, a few months later, the FAA grounded TAG USA, he said their network would grow to 200 airplanes because of that. I talked to this guy more than a year ago.
