Anyone have info on B&D? I know they're out of the Batltimore area but curious about working conditions, personnel, etc. Thanks in advance.

I was looking for a job in the DC/Balt area last year, and the word I was getting was not good. B&D has a reputation for not treating crews well, and normally will not fly with an FA in their Gulfstream. Guess who gets to do that duty? The FO, of course. Keep investigating. You might find things may have changed, but I doubt it.

I submitted on online application with them a couple of weeks ago, and haven't heard a thing.
Maybe 14000 hours wasn't enough. Go figure.

What does B&D's fleet consist of and where exactly are they based?

its not total time that gets you a corporate job,,its how you get along with other crew members and if you can ditch that airline ego as well as who you know...its all teamwork.

Airline pilots typically fly to the same 10 to 15 airports their entire career...after a while your thinking skills deteriorate...I know I am doing it now...corporate pilots may go to 15 different airports in just a few months..and with no support..total time droning on the same routes over and over does not mean much....

Who cares if there is no FA...its one less hotel reservation to care about and less bags and way less drama and liability....

Its nice to have your meals brought to you but its also nice to get up and stretch your legs on a long leg and make your own food...

As far as pax go,,,if there is no FA they are usually trained to get their own food.....I have flown in these operations before...its not a big deal...Just show up to the airport about 10 minutes earlier and put some ice and newspapers on and put the food in the galley....unless your ego can't handle it....

by the way I fly long haul cargo now and I have no flight attendant...I guess I am not as well off as a pax airline pilot......

Just passing on what I was told...FO's were expected to get out of the seat and serve drinks for the boss, even on short legs up to NYC. To each his own. If you don't mind doing that, that's fine.

Nice avatar FS...
