Micromanaging CP ..any experiences?
I work with a CP that is a micromanager ,i have had to learn to manage him.II have been here 7 years but its taking a toll. I cant take it any longer.he is so perfect its pathetic.always "suggesting". After i answer a question he say "are u sure? Always Questining or doubting your decision. If i deviate right for wx he says its better to go left ...things like that. If im flying he likes to get up while we taxi and see if the pax needs something ( i think that is illegal) now i stop if that happens.he has done really unsafe stuff ,i could write a book.

Yes I have worked with these "sky gods" before. Document everything, have a sit down meeting with him and clear the air, then have a department wide meeting, lock the door and nobody leaves til the air is clear. Techniques are techniques and procedures are procedures, the issues arise when somebody thinks their technique is the only procedure.

I unfortunately have dealt with an ahole like this too.
I ended up departing the hold till he was fired and returned back to holding fix.
He was the demeaning Jekyl/Mr Hyde type.
You could make a decision one day and be praised...next day/same decision and be ridiculed for it.
I "voiced" my displeasure and concerns and were met with total BS.
I always say karma will catch up to these guys.

Oh yes! Your experience sounds very similar to mine. The 121 world has been a refreshing reprieve from this insanity. Try having a guy that only lets you fly when he sees fit and doesn't realize how absolutely unsafe this is to have one pilot more proficient than the other. There's a reason the airlines switch legs 50/50. Left that nonsense in the dust and have never been happier.

Been there, done that. All I can say is I'm sorry you're having to go through it. You have two choices here which are suffer in silence or confront him with your chosen method. If you've been with the guy for a long period of time I'm sure you've made your feelings known in the past and are probably to the point where you feel like you're in the twilight zone.
I agree with the previous sentiment that these guys get what they deserve in the end. Just keep in mind that sometimes standing up to guys like this end with them sabotaging or flat-out firing those who oppose their regime. I have personally witnessed that occurring.
Good luck.
