No, the intent was to show that everything is negotiable. 4833 could be fine under the proper conditions. To make a blanket statement like he did was foolish, unless ALL you care about is pay. If that's the case then yeah I agree with it.
Got it. Thanks.

And why won't you comment on the RJs back to mainline?
Just chose not to go into a long soliloquy about (large) RJ's coming to mainline. My personal opinion is it's a done deal. The regionals are hurting so bad for pilots right now that even a non-current pilot in my unit has been given job offers by Mesa, Republic, XJet, SkyWest with an upcoming interview with Endeavor & Compass. Section 6 is due to open in 9 months. (6-9 months for fighter guys.) I think the company will be "asking" for our help at that time. So, that is the reason I chose "to not comment" on RJ's back to mainline in a negotiation post. I concur, however, everything is negotiable.

Oh.. and I love the Osama reference nicely done.

Thread relevant comment. Has anyone received calls for an interview recently?

It was also helpful to see what MR felt about warring classes. So, I agree with 47% of what you say.

See what I did there, Ts?

Back in the day, when TN license plates started with numbers, a friend from Mt Juliet told me that anything bigger than a 20 was being driven by a redneck. Interesting that Mt Juliet was located in Wilson County and that started with a 20. I guess he made it under the wire. He was the first person to ever tell me about the Big Orange dope and a moon pie... Not relevant to the discussion at hand, but your post with the zip code reminded me of it. (Not implying anything about 37766)

My Cousin Vinny is on Comedy Central right now if anybody is watching TV.

Got ya. thanks for the 'splanation. And I apologize for my contribution to the thread drift on this one. I'll take it elsewhere.

Section 6 of the railway labor act, which governs our negotiation process when our contract becomes amendable. Basically it just means we are less than a year away from starting a negotiation with management for our next contract. Our current contract runs through the end of next year.

Ah. Completely embarrassed I just now got the 69 reference. I used to come all over those.

I'd have to vote YES for that. I'm REALISTICALLY expecting only 20% anyway (my expectations have been managed), so 18% PLUS filling up my DC....And big RJ's at mainline??? For anyone under 50% on the seniority list it's a no brainer. Under our current contract the big RJ pays $169, that's $20 more than I make now...add 18% to that and it becomes a great deal for us JR types.
