Default Miami Commuter Hotel

Looking for a reasonable hotel for occasional crash pad substitute, flying MIA cargo side. Will be using taxi, so hotel van service not a factor. Safety & walking or public transit access to stuff more important than price, though cost obviously a factor. Hoping to use Sherry Frontenac, but last time I checked they only take you last minute if they have rooms.

There are several in general on 36th St, including Comfort Inn, within walking distance of ramp. Otherwise, several prospects MB, can't vouch for transportation ease/price. If internet not satisfactory, could likely pick up hotel discount booklet at any Hojo's or IHOP. (Or fwy rest area, if you're driving down)

HolidayInn Express on 36th, ask for airline rate. Right next to IHOP.

Red Roof Inn has a $71 rate out-the-door. Rumors of rates going up around the airport, but the Red Roof says they're going to hold at current rate.
