It's crazy how in depth mx goes with these checks. They practically tear down the a/c and re-build it!

Awesome video! As someone who's been lucky enough to fix airplanes for as long as they've been breaking them, I think this sums it up nicely... ;-)

And that boggles my mind that they can do a D check on a 747 in five weeks. Amazing.

Was the guy wearing safety goggles in the first few minutes while sitting in the cockpit during the runup?

Another reason for pilots NOT to do engine runs, I was never issued the required safety goggles.
