Dear MEC & LEC - Please vote this TA DOWN
If you pass this TA on to the membership - it is likely that over 50% of the pilots will vote for this. We can do better. Most do not understand the possibilities. The key component of making the company properly compensate pilots for the delays, inflation, and their contribution to the overall profits - must happen.
Yes, I've seen the proposed TA Section-by-section highlights - and its too low on too many levels.
The signing bonus lets the company off the hook. The delay tactic worked. Make them pay at least what was lost - if not more for delaying us and our families. Make them think twice before delaying again.
The pay rates are too low. 10% to start does not cut it.
The lack of real retirement improvements are a slap in the face. No A fund improvements with 1% in B fund increase and another 1% in 4 years. YGTBSM.
There are more issues - but this is enough for me to beg you - Do not put this out for a vote. Our past voting record of "Yes" for substandard LOAs does not bode well. The company has thrown out the bare minimum to try and squeak by a pass. There are too many pilots that will trust ALPA representation and not realize that this is a substandard and inadequate offer. We can do better.
I don't care if we must wait. I don't care if Peak is a disaster. We didn't make this mess and we shouldn't have to take the hit for the delays. Almost every aspect of our flying operation is in need of serious attention - don't play patty cake with the brain surgeons that got us into this situation.
Thank you for your consideration of a NO vote.

So you've actually seen what the gist of the TA is, then? Any more details on it, such as yearly pay increases after the initial 10%? Signing bonus? Work rule changes? There is far more to a TA than just those few things that you listed.
And based upon only those item, you believe that the MEC should save us from ourselves and vote against it? If you have the details, it would be kind of you to share what is in the rest of the TA.
Thanks!

Because he gave so little information. If I had actually seen the highlights, and hadn't sworn not to reveal them, you'd better believe that I'd be here on APC, giving you folks every last detail.

The issue I see is there are many, many at FDX who LOVE Fred Smith and FDX. Which is good to a point. It's not a good thing when Voting on a Substandard Contract.
This is why the MEC has to think long on this. Since if it gets to the Membership, it will pass. Even a very weak TA will pass.
Sad, but true. Why this is? I assume from the culture from the 1970's and 1980's Hires? Since even at $320 an hour, this is what UAL and DL were paying in 2004 11 years ago! Not counting Inflation. Wow!

How about everybody stepping back and taking some deep breaths. We haven't even seen the actual document.
Do you think it would be beneath the company to leak some info that might possibly be intended to lower the expectations of the crew force?
Nah, that would never happen.
Relax, let the process work. When presented with a TA, read it and then come on here and tell us why you do or don't like it.

If that's the case 10%pay(which is less than usair/American) and 1%b(less than American and dal and United), that alone will make me vote no. Can we start to pressure our Mec in a demonstration in front of corporate on annual shareholder meeting in September????

By the way, I didn't use the F-word. It just looks like I did. oh, we children. You know.
