Exclamation Flight School Directory - Beta

OK, so I've been busy coding a new project for the site - a business directory.

At the moment, I'm going to limit the directory to flight schools while I make some refinements and changes to the templates.

So, if you would like to submit information on flight schools that you wish to endorse (we don't want the crappy ones ), then please do!

From the APC front end, click Resources>Directory

or just click here! http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com/directory.htm

Currently, this directory is ONLY for flight schools. I'll open it up for everything else after the beta period. What this means is that all non-flight school listing will be trashed. Be patient, the open directory is coming.

Also, each listing WILL be reviewed before it's published. Once you submit a listing, it won't show up on the site until after it's reviewed by the APC staff. New listings MUST be complete, so if you're going to go to the trouble of submitting a listing, make sure you have the details (Full address, email contact, fax, phone, web address,...you know: ALL the details ).

Because this IS a beta addition to the site, your feedback is crucial! Like everything else on the site, it's free, and for pilots - by pilots.

Default Sounds great, but...

Search by Location would be cool...

HSLD, I am looking for a place that I can obtain independent and subjective information about the larger flight academys, i.e. FSI, PAIFA, ATP. I can find all the technical stuff I need from the websites and brochures. What I'd like is to find answers to questions like, what is a particular school's rep in the industry? How thorough is the training? How condusive is the training environment? Are they interested in your educational development or rushing through your ratings? I'm sure you see what I mean. When you're plunking down more than $60K for a tech school, I figure it's more important than just numbers. I appreciate any help you can give. thanks.

There is a search, as the database is populated just type in a keyword like "Texas". It works.

I think we'd ALL like to see that. I'm not sure exactly how one would obtain a subjective overview of the larger flight academys without attending all of those you wich to profile.

Any ideas?

Ok, I see I'm not alone here. I guess it sounded to me like that is partly what this flight school listing was going to do when it's completed. I figured this was not the first time someone had done it. Maybe we could just get a Hotels.com style listing going. We could just have a team of experts go out and attend all the schools for the sole purpose of reporting to others. Lol. Thanks anyway, guess I'll just have to keep picking it up bit by bit on the boards.
