OP over - passed with an 86. Not exactly a fan of Sheppard after using it a week ish but the memory aids helped - the vast majority of questions were not SA memory aid applicable, but every little bit helps.
My opinion - just another hoop to jump through. I like knowing how the answers are arrived at but in the end I'm just glad I got it done.
OP out.

An honest 86 is pretty good for a test like this, and kudos for wanting to actually be able to work the math honestly.

And it's really not about proving how honest and wonderful we are. It is wanting to know how things work and why they are the way they are. Dodging the issue using some cheating system will never satisfy a person who cares what's really going on. Sure, do that for your income taxes perhaps, to get a drivers license or dodge a traffic ticket, but not for flying. I refuse to be an idiot who sits up front like a monkey, I want to know what's really going on which takes some mental effort. It's not rocket science.

And yet you seem to not treat it as though there is no relationship between passing a knowledge test and not being the monkey up front.

The knowledge test is just a hoop don't treat it like it is anything more (or less) than that.
