Current/past J-1 US flight students on forum

Hi Guys,

Are there any current/past flight trainees from the US on this forum?

Would like to know about regulations concerning leave after entering the US(before and after program's start date).

Can an International Student with an issued J-1 visa travel within the US after first entry with J-1 before the start date of flight program?

How many times is one allowed to take leave and travel within or external to the US after beginning the flight program?

Let's see if i can help.

Im going to start by saying that the last thing I heard was that the J1 visa was about to disappear. That being said....

Not really sure what you mean\with the first question. Once you have been given a J1 or any student VISA, not Status (which would be what you get if you do the paperwork while already being in the US. Not a common situation as you MUST to everything before actually even thinking of a date to fly) im really sure that you can travel in and out of the US with out a problem. BUT, remember you MUST BE A FULL TIME STUDENT, the moment you start "not showing" or not doing your business, KNOW that you may be getting close to.............TROUBLE! In your spare time...go ahead and visit the US...its beautifull. Once your visa is about to expire I think you might request for an extension of your OPT....but if not start getting ready to pack.
