So do you take a grad cert. in to the FSDO? is that how this works? My CFI expires at the end of this month, I better get crackin.

Yes, call your FSDO and verify they'll have someone there to sign you off. It took all of 10 minutes while I was there. Oh yeah, avoid any known "break" times and "lunch" times. It will be a ghost town during those hours.

Mine exp. on 11/30. If i GO IN 11/29 am I going to have the same expiration date?

You can go up to 3 months early and still keep the same expiration date, which is always the month. Early is always better than later!!!!!!(And I'm a procrastinator, so I never follow my own advice in this regard). I've cut it too close several times.
