I have seen this topic already being discussed so pardon me for bringing it up again. Do overseas guys have problems with coming to the US to build hours or do leisure flying. Do you travel with your headset and flight bag on your person. No doubt, that sends the CUSTOMS in orbit if they came across it and give you a grilling. Even though you got clearance through the TSA with their background checks that you have no terrorist connections.

I don't think you'll have any issues, there's no law against that. The 9/11 terrorists did not bring their own flight kits.

TSA doesn't care if you're just building hours. It's only getting the first certificate, getting an instrument rating or multi or over 12,500. Come build glider hours, they don't care even if you get a certificate.

Ok.... The TSA guys are a different entity from the Immigration if Im correct? I been told TSA dont care but Immigration is the one who just grill you for a few hours and then they release you if you're one of those unlucky overseas students coming to the US to do flite training...

Yes, they're two different groups. If you are coming for training, TSA may or may not have to approve you to get training. Like I said, if you are adding a skill set. ICE also gets involved if you are coming as a student and need a student visa or if you need a visa as a tourist. If you have a FAA cert and are just a tourist from a non visa courty who may be flying a plane I don't know if ICE cares.
