I did my interview last week and would like to know after how long it takes to get an answer from EK. During the interview they said 6-8 weeks max.

They have not contacted the referees yet. Should I worry?

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I interviewed a couple of years ago. EK started checking my references about 2 1/2 weeks after the interview. I got my a job invite after 5 weeks of waiting. One guy in my group had a job invite after only 10 days, another guy waited 3+ months due to some issues with his medical. As far as I know things haven't changed much- some guys know soon and others wait a while. I think perhaps one month before hearing something is typical? I'm also told that no news is good news as rejections tend to happen quickly but job offers take a while longer. The people that you interface with during the interview aren't the only ones who have a say in your job offer. Apparently higher level office types have veto power over any applicant so there is a fair bit of paperwork shuffling involved with each person. Additionally, if the office types happen to be on vacation or away when your paperwork hits their desk it could slow things down quite a bit through no fault of your own.

I interviewed last week of May. 7 started, 5 finished. 3 were offered slots. I was turned down 4 weeks after interviewing.
