Default British Airways In The News

Seems like one can't pick up the newspaper or surf for a minute and find BA in the news, and not in a flattering light either. What a shame since I've always enjoyed flying them.

This one is about BA getting sued over lost luggage, which apparently is a common phenomenon.

NBC News tonight reported BA flying no fewer than 5 flights between London and various cities in the US on completely empty planes because of a crew shortage. Wonder if it will hire some APC members?

This one complains how theyve had no pax on some US-UK flights, but still move cargo. Also mentions something about holding on to Heathrow gates. Damn hippies!

Keep in mind tha this past year the British Airports Authority helped BA, and many other airlines lose piles of luggage when they had the security threat regarding liquids and the direct threat to Heathrow and other UK airports, so that one incident alone would account for much of those 28 bag's (per thousand). And the lack of crews would be flight attendants, not pilots.

Not to excuse BA outright of course, who are charging exorbinant amounts for extra bag's, so really have no excuse for loseing a single one beyond outside influences beyond their control.

That all said, apparently we didn't have much of a problem (with our two little flights per day) with bag's out of there. But man, what a calamity for crews departing. Any one who has gone through their ridiculous crew screening will have a story to tell.
