Default Schedules...looking for month on, month off, or maybe 15 on 15 off (more or less)

I'm looking for a flying (or maybe FE) job that has a month-on, month-off schedule. 15 days (or so) on, and 15 days (or so) off would be ok, too. Does anybody know of companies like that that are hiring?

I am an American living in Nicaragua, flying for a missionary service (Casa de Servicio) on the east coast of Nicaragua, that's why I need the long schedule...otherwise there would be too much expense and time getting back and forth to work.

Although I enjoy the work out there, and know it is important, I miss having things like running water, and being around other pilots and just having a normal life (even though it's not most people's idea of NORMAL!).

I have about 6500 hours, spent the past 7 years flying BE400's and CE500 series at Flight Options. Before that, the Metroliner.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Nica Flyer.. I actually want to move to the west coast there and live.. more around San Juan.. Would love to talk to you about it. I would take your job if you move on Try Kalitta.. It's 17 on and 13 off. They will fly you to the plane so you can live anywhere in the US.

Hi!

Atlas/Polar, World and Gemini are all 17 on/rest of month off, and home basing (more or less). NetJets is also home basing, but it's 7/7.

A lot of Asian jobs are starting to offer 30/30 with positive space flights for the bimonthly commute.

pprune.org has a lot of info on the Asian Middle Eastern countries.

Oh, and Emirates (Dubai) now has 3 female pilots, I believe.

Hasta Luego,

PS-My CEO would like to move somewhere that's hot. CA, AZ, TX, FL are all too cold.

Cruiseclimb,

Thanks for the tip on Kalitta!

Yeah, any questions I can answer about Nicaragua, just let me know! You can contact me at admin@casadeservicio.org (still working on geting my posts up to the point where I can pm). I (still!) havenīt been out to the west coast yet, just MGA and RAAN (northern atlantic region). Also a short trip to Massaya and Granada. When do you plan to move down?

ATPCliff,

Thanks!

I am going to look into these companies, also the Chinese ones. I used to spend time on PPRUNE sometime back...I think I will revisit it.

My dad and grandpa live outside Phoenix. I canīt imagine Phoenix in the summer is too cool for anybody! Maybe he should live inside a microwave oven . Right now, it is comfortably warm here, with a good amount of sun and nice breezes. March and April are the hottest months.

Take care!

If you work the bush in Alaska you can do 15 on/off and be with other pilots. But you wouldn't have exactly a "normal" life.

What about Net Jets? I think they have schedules that fit what you're looking for.
