Default China Eastern and Ted Revis

Anyone interested in China Eastern Airlines in Shangai I thought I would pass along some information. I have been working with Ted Revis through his company TSDco in Shangai. He is a family friend of one of my past co-workers. From the very beginning I and the group of pilots I was working with had trouble getting answers to our questions. We received virtually no solid, verifyable information about the airlines we were working with. He first approached Shenzen Airlines and then after we raised questions about the tax situation with that airline he sent us an email and said he had decided to not pursue that any more as it was a "scam". A mention of Juneyao airlines was made but I never heard anything else about that either. Finally, a deal with China Eastern was presented to upgrade all the A320 pilots to the A330 and they would pay for our types. No details were given other than he expected the salary would be about what a A320 driver would make because they were footing the bill for the A330 type. When the terms and conditions finally arrived the salary was in fact lower but now the good folks at China Eastern wanted us to pay for our types. A carrot of upgrading to the A340 a year out was presented as well but would not be put in writing. After I asked one too many questions about why the terms had suddenly changed I was informed that Ted was in fact the interviewer for China Eastern and that since I had so many questions and issues with the process that I would not be considered by China Eastern. THANK GOODNESS!! I was about to make the biggest mistake of my life. I will only work with reputable crew leasing companies from now on. Anyone have any good companies that they are working with and recommend??

highly typical of all chinese airlines, they sell you on all kinds of BS make you sign a contract you can't even read and then you get roped in. I've heard of many horror stories of people stuck at these places getting horrid pay but can't leave because of a type rating contract or some other BS. Stay away!

I have some A320 jobs, no upgrades. If you are looking for that only EK, Etihad and Qatar that I know of. Kingfisher in India will NOT upgrade you. Forget I flew for them. Best
