Default Options for young, non committed pilots

Does anyone on here have any insight or info on what opportunities may be available for a younger guy to go see the east? I'm 23 and would love to see a different part of the world, but don't have the times for a major like Emirates or similar.

Any help/experiences/stories would be great!

In all honesty when I get the ATP and hit 2k jet time, I'm considering applying other places around the world. Who wants do deal with the industry over here. There's plenty of contract jobs that let you commute or be based in the U.S but those require more experience, if you're will to live out side the U.S. There's places that hire SICs with an ATP who just have 1 or 2k TT in airliners.

Cathay SO, China Air, EVA, and airlines in the Gulf area like Etihad. I'm talking about minimums though. Pretty much all the airlines in Europe but you need JAA for that.

Also you need right to live and work in Europe. Check on www.pilotjobsnetwork.com for hiring information. Some arlines require you to be a national and speak the countries' language, but others hire lots of foreigners.

Good to hear! I have an ATP but need a little more Jet time. I would love to do a 2 or 3 year gig just for the experience!

Thanks for the input. Anyone in the forum have experience with OAL's overseas?
